It is a hostel from the YHA network of Hostelling International. The hostel is one of those places that catches your attention for the decor and is in the building adjacent to the train station. It has been converted into sleeping cars, has a small pool, with frames of pictures in the hallway, has a perfect location being only 1 minute from the train station, and all airport buses stop 50 meters away. It has good food and is clean. I spent 4 nights here, and it seems to always be full. When I wanted to reserve for the next 2 nights it was full, so reserve with enough time ahead.
Aussitel Coffs Harbour Backpackers Hostel is one of two hostels in the city. The other one is in the YHA network. The Aussitel is where I stayed. It has a nice pool, it really is a nice little hostel in a good location if you come by train it's only five minutes away from the train station. If you come by bus pick the right one because that station is in a town 3 kilometers away. The hostel offers diving courses and activities. A supermarket 5 minutes walk from the beach and harbor
It is part of the YHA Hostel Hostelling International network. Because I was left without a bed for not reserving on the Railway I had to stay two nights here. It is a gigantic hostel, one of the biggest in the world with over 500 bed. It was so big and impersonal for my taste, but it is a place that has everything, a pool, bar, restaurant, many TV rooms and a big kitchen, travel agency, and is situated perfectly. But the price is the most expensive in the whole country. It wasn´t the best place for me if you are a traveller traveling by yourself.
The Lennox Head is part of the YHA network of Hostelling International. It is situated opposite the lake and 20 meters away from the beach. There is a nice atmosphere, very family friendly, and they prepare chocolate cake every morning. It is the perfect place to relax or socialize in the TV and reading room and there are tables outside, very pretty. It is a comfortable and clean place, they pick you up from the bus station if you ring them, it´s a highly recommended place, even for those not wanting to spend the night in the circus of Byron Bay.
The Byron Bay YHA Hostel is a network of Hostelling International. It's perfectly located just 200 meters away from the supermarket, 500 meters away from the bus stop and only 5 minutes walk from the beach. It has a pool, a large kitchen, and it's in an area that's all too accustomed to parties.
I spent some time here in Sydney before I found an apartment to rent. The location is very central, behind the town hall and close to one of the city's main train stations. There is a bar next to the hotel, but I never had any problems with noise. If you're a light sleeper, though, you might have some issues. They have a travel agency inside the hotel, and the assistants are friendly and helpful. I bought some packages from them at very fair prices. There are free tours promoted, to the opera house and Bondi Beach, a good option if you're travelling alone and want to meet new people. There's no breakfast, but there's a large kitchen in the basement, which fills up with backpackers preparing their meals, and they also have several washing machines.
This hotel is located in central Sydney between Goulburn and Campbell Street. Central Station is within walking distance from the hostel and a complimentary shuttle service, depending on the length of the stay, is available to and from Kingsford Smith International Airport. The Hostel offers great amenities such as beach barbecues, wine and cheese dinners, professional assistance with whatever you might need, Internet access and the use of a pool table and games.
