Its stylish design makes this small hotel next to the Opera Square and the Theatre Royal the perfect base when visiting the triangle of art in the capital. The rooms offer free WiFi, satellite TV, a beautifully designed bathroom and welcome apples to guests upon arrival. The breakfast buffet is varied and large and is served between 7.00 and 12.00
We reserved Hostel Camino online. I'm fascinated by how such a small guesthouse can have such great online marketing. It's installed on the fourth floor of a building in Calle Hortaleza, just steps from Gran Via. It's a great location, in a quiet place, while still being very close to the nightlife district of Chueca, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The lady who looked after us was very nice, although she took a long time to register our details, give us towels, and explain how the internet worked ... the rooms are small and simple but clean. The prices were very low - 35 euros per night for three people in such a central area of Madrid was fine with me. There are eight rooms, but there's no common room. It's really just a place to sleep and shower. Our room had a small bathroom with shower, towels and soaps.
Built in 1914, the Hotel Mediodia is located in Madrid's famous museum (the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssenn) in a beautiful neoclassical building. It's a landmark in Madrid and the first thing you see when you leave Atocha. The rooms are luxurious and will leave everything but your wallet feeling happy! If you want to enjoy the center of Madrid, it's unbeatable. You're a stone's throw from all kinds of transport (metro, trains, etc ...), the area is full of restaurants and clubs to suit all tastes and it's located right across from the Retiro Park.

The Gran Melia Fenix is a fantastic hotel. The best service in the world, in my opinion. I had a wonderful stay full of friendly people who make you feel right at home. I have been to many hotels but few like this. I recommend it.
Horrible hotel!! The rooms are crap, dirty and rundown. And the staff couldn't be more rude and unfriendly. If you come for breakfast at 10:28 they don't even let you in. Worst hotel experience ever!!
One already knows what there is in a NH Hotel, or in this case, in an Hesperia Hotel. Hotels with a characteristic signature making them ideal for business travels or "city breaks". In this case it is definitely true.
The Hesperia Hermosilla is a boutique hotel (quite small but well arranged) with as a strong point a privileged location in the center of Madrid, a few meters from Serrano or Velázquez street and therefore close to El Retiro.
It has an abundant buffet for breakfast and excellent service, so I recommend it to everyone looking for a hotel without pretensions but with all necessities in an ideal area of the center of Madrid.
Located in the centre of Madrid, next to the Congress of Deputees, it is barely five minutes away from the Puerta del Sol, the area of Huertas or the Prado Museum, it is one of teh best opitons to stay in the centre of town. The staff is very polite and attentive, the romos are very comfortable, large and with very studied details.
It is interesting to know that the hotel has one of the greatest mosaic collections in Spain and almost all the spaces have one or two. Specially impressive ones to see are those in the breakfast hall, but there is also mosaics in each room.
The restaurant which is Pop Art style, has a Mediterranean cuisine, very well prepared and delicious. Even though there is a lot of options to eat in the environs, it is worth trying the cuisine here and even enjoying one of the cocktails they prepare.
