In this beautiful coastal city, it's no surprise that most of the lodging in Alicante is clustered around the urban beaches like Playa de San Juan, Postiguet Beach, or Albufereta Beach. Around these areas you will find numerous resorts, apartment complexes, and hotels in Alicante. If your budget will stretch that far, some of the finest Alicante accommodations are the villas and holiday homes in this area where you can enjoy a little more privacy during your stay.
In the city center you will also find a wide range of Alicante hotels, from five star luxury resorts to boutique hotels and small, family-run establishments with half- or full-board options. This can be a good choice if you're wondering where to stay in Alicante without spending very much. You can also look for guesthouses and hostels in the old part of the city. You can also find plenty of good hotel deals around the Palacio de Congresos, where most of the low-cost international chains are found.

Its location of the AC Hotel Alicante isn't perfect. It's a little outside the center and in a bit of a dodgy neighborhood. It's part of a chain, so there are no surprises with the decor. Hearty breakfast and a small pool to cool off in good weather.
The Castilla Alicante hotel is definitely one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. I last went with my wife, last summer on holiday. It is very close to the beach and both the service and the facilities are very good. The price is excellent, taking into account its location.
Last year I went to the hotel for a conference and found a room on the first floor and it was tasteless, didn´t corresponded with the hotel category. I realized that the rest were well outside the floor but ... Beware of deals! In this case, worse than a hostel ...
The Gran Sol building that houses the Hotel Tryp Gran Sol is one of the most imposing buildings in Alicante and a great symbol of the coastline, due to its height and its spectacular murals. Originally called the Alonso Building, it was the first skyscraper in Alicante, completed in 1968 and with a height of 97 meters. Another of its main features is its excellent location as it is in the heart of the city, near the marina and the historic area. The hotel has 28 floors with a total of 123 rooms. I have never stayed at the hotel, however I have eaten a few times in its panoramic restaurant on the 26th floor. The views are simply spectacular.
The City Hotel is one of the most central hotels in the city of Alicante. It boasts an enviable location on Avenida de Salamanca, opposite the railway station, just a few meters from the shopping area of the city and within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. The hotel offers comfort, quality and personalized service with an urban character, making it an excellent choice for those wishing to explore the city of Alicante from any point of view, be it cultural, business, tourism or gastronomic.
The location in downtown Alicante is perfect. The apartment is very quiet but if you want to party, you have plenty of options just a short walk away. Inside, everything is new with all the typical amenities and lots of style. The price was pretty good between the four of us. The staff is very friendly, too. It’s definitely a place to repeat!
This hotel retains the elegance and character of one of the most representative examples of the civil architecture of the city of Alicante from the middle of the nineteenth century. Their quality materials, designer furniture, soft colors that give light to the rooms and a renovation that respects the original structure, make this a hotel that was carefully designed with comfort in mind to please the hotel guest. The Hospes Amerigo hotel belongs to the brand club Blanc, taste and comfort of the Costa Blanca.
Alicante is a city prepared for tourism on a large scale, so there's plenty of accommodation available to all visitors. If you're coming for a couple of days, then guest houses like this one can be a cheaper option than the hotels in the city. There are single, individual apartments, and it's a bit cheaper than in the rest of Alicante. It's very central, so you won't need to take any public transport; everything is close by. There's some great nightlife around the area, too.
Ideal for relaxing or hosting a party. The kidney-shaped pool with jacuzzi is just perfect. We went with a group of 20, organising a bachelor party. The hotel has a disco room with a high ceiling, and made of all wood and glass. In the garden was a barbecue in tents, very cheap, and delicious. Within five minutes walk you are in the village which is very nice and has all amenities.
With good parking, beach bars nearby, five minutes from Benidorm and three from Altea, super prices, plus breakfast included for 40 euros for a double room overlooking the golf course ... and those glorious red sunrises ...
We visited Alicante for the Fiesta de San Juan so we were looking for a comfortable budget hotel to cover the bare necessities. We ended up choosing the Hotel Ibis Budget Alicante, located across the street from Avenida Elche and the buses headed to the city center. The mere fact of not having to drive the car made things a lot easier. I don't remember the exact the cost of the room, but I think it was no more than €29.00. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable, especially considering it was the last one left due to the festival. We had a window overlooking the sea and all the amenities like air conditioning, cable TV, Wi Fi, and a fairly large bathroom. Breakfast was fine and served in a small dining room near the entrance.
Last winter I stayed in this hotel in Alicante, and it really let me down. The fact that it has 3 stars is s surprise! It's all very old, the bathroom, furniture, floors, doors ... all run-down. At first we thought we were just unlucky with our room, but we were with 2 other couples, and they said the same thing: just as crappy, and overlooking a courtyard filled with pipes. The only good things are the staff and the location, right in the centre.
These are apartments located in the historic center of Alicante, just 2 minutes walk from the beach. If you stay here you can save money by cooking your own food. They are well-decorated with lots of light, air-conditioned, and have free wifi!
The Eurostars Mediterranea Plaza has a great location in the town square, but at the same time, it's very noisy particularly as the street behind the hotel is a popular meeting point for local young people. Unfortunately, the sound-proofing on the rooms isn't that good.
The Sercotel Spa Porta Maris hotel has a great location near Postiguet, so of course everything is expensive...the rooms, the buffet, the parking, everything. At night, people gather to drink on the beach and you can often hear them from your room. Not recommended.
The Hesperia Alicante Golf Spa stands on the golf course, and is only 10 minutes from the beach and not too far from the Archaeological Museum of Alicante. The airport is only 7km away, so it's easy enough to travel. The hotel offers massages, gym, spa and sauna, hairdresser and room service. If you're traveling by car, you can use the free covered parking lot. It also has a cafe-bar and restaurant, and is accessible for disabled guests. There are facilities for special event hire.
The NH Cristal is located in the historic and commercial center of Alicante. It is located just a few meters from the major attractions in the city such as the Aquarium Mediterranean and Ereta Park. There are a total of 85 comfortable and well appointed rooms. All rooms have private bathroom, desk, free wireless Internet, telephone, flat screen TV, minibar and safe. The hotel offers its guests a great buffet breakfast every morning and also has spacious meeting rooms.
An affordable luxury for everyone. I spent the weekend here. It's got a great design, right in the city centre, with a spa and a rooftop pool with views of the Cathedral. The designer rooms, the gourmet breakfast ... At night there is live jazz music on the roof. Totally exclusive, yet affordable for almost everyone.
The hotel has an excellent location ideal for all those wishing to be close to the shopping center, since it is situated on the main avenue of the city. Also, a few meters away you'll find the beach. The Hotel Campanile Alicante is located one and a half kilometers from the center of Alicante and three kilometers from the beach.

Facilities offered include lift, wireless internet, parking, cafeteria, restaurant, currency exchange, conference room, twenty-four hour front desk, continental breakfast, disabled access and laundry service.
