A perfect option if you are looking for basic accomodation that is cheap and with decent installations. Not only is it in perfect condition, it is clean, comfy and with big resting rooms, also a bar and computers. There is a buffet breakfast that is very complete. It´s very recommendable for groups: cheap, close to the center (you can go walking to all the places of interest), cozy...you can´t ask for more!
It´s a super luxury hotel. It has normal rooms but there are also apartments along the canal. It's like a city since several buildings are joined together to preserve the facades. It is worth seeing, even if it´s just to see the greenhouse hall that is used as the breakfast room. Beautiful indeed. It is part of the Spanish chain NH. They have some nice additional details for the kids and even though it´s a 5-star hotel, it isn´t elitist. It´s my favorite way to stay in Amsterdam. It's expensive, but worth it.
This 4-star hotel is located in the picturesque village of Bergambacht. Inside there are non-smoking zones and areas where guests can relax by a pool, sauna or spa or even have a beauty treatments. The property also has parking and the rooms are adapted for disabled guests.
I thought it was an excellent hotel. Well-situated, very clean and cozy. One side has a bar that is very nice to have breakfast like a great coffee with milk and brownie, or chocolate muffins. There are many tables. Everything is close, only a walk away from the Dam Square in the red light district, the opera, the canals. It´s a good area to rest. In general everything perfect.
We stayed here longer than we expected, because of the Icelandic volcano ash cloud. The hotel has a jetty on the canal from where you can take a boat trip. The highlight ... EVERYTHING! A four star hotel with each room different, but luxurious. Original pieces of modern art and furniture throughout. It's hard to describe exactly ... in a modern room where all hotels seem more or less the same, this will linger in my memory for a long time.
It is one of the best hotels in Amsteradam in terms of quality-price. It´s very centric and well communicated in the Museum neighborhood with a tram stop just a minute away, or the Leidseplein Square 5 minutes walking. It´s very clean, comfortable and the bathroom of the rooms are some of the best I´ve seen. They leave you your own food and has a breakfast buffet service for 5 euros.
The Schiphol Hotel is a hotel just a few kilometers away from Schiphol Airport and there is a free transport service from the airport to the hotel and back, where you can find the bus on the platform A (it comes at a frequency of 15-20 minutes). The hotel is very well-equipped, the restaurant (next to reception) is exquisite and the service is good. The rooms are big and well-equipped, but the bad thing is once more the price of internet (6 Euros for 15 minutes).
The landmark Hotel New York is famous because it was once the headquarters of the Holland-America shipping line. Today the hotel is a real meeting place for Rotterdam locals, as well as tourists. On the ground floor, there is a cafe-restaurant with seating for 400 people, serving breakfast, coffee, lunch, dinner, and drinks. The Hotel New York is also famous for its oysters and they provide fresh seafood daily. The waterfront terrace is the perfect place to hang out on a hot summer day and enjoy the beautiful view over the Maas.
The Rho Hotel is located in the main square Dam. It´s about 10 minutes walking from the central station. The service is nice and the rooms are clean and comfy. They have wifi connection that is free in the rooms. The staff service is nice. The best of the hotel is that you can visit any area of Amsterdam walking and practically all the trams of the city pass by this square.
This hotel is simple but has all the needs of the traveler covered. The rooms are bright and with enough facilities to rest. Although the zone is quiet, we can walk to the center or the area with nightlife. As far as the quality / price of this complex, it is the most competitive. The hotel has Wi-fi in the lobby.
This hotel was built in 1981, but has since been remodelled and equipped with modern facilities to meet the needs of all guests. The property is located a short drive from the A16 motorway at exit 20, just 20 miles from the business centre of Rotterdam. It's a modern hotel with a great restaurant, a cozy bar and extensive meeting facilities.
Middelburg was the subject of intense German bombing in 1940. Much of the city today is the result of reconstruction, including the Stadhuis (town hall) and the Abbey Church, which actually dates from 1100, when the church was inhabited by monks from the city of Antwerp. This is a beautiful city whose center offers interesting monuments.
We stayed there 4 days, it´s close to the center of Amsterdam and there is a walk with many cool views of the city from the hotel center. It´s well communicated and the stop of the tram is just in front of the hotel. Inside it is very tranquil, there is no noise and next to it is a small port and you can see huge boats that arrive by night while you are in the bed. The beds are great, super comfortable and with big pillows. The quality-price relation is good.
The Hotel Arena in Amsterdam is one of the most unique hotels I have ever stayed at. Over the years, it's been a chapel, orphanage, and backpacker hostel, but now it's a modern hotel with a very peculiar minimalist design. It's located near Plantage, but this is not a problem as there are plenty of trams that can take you to where you want to go. The decor is pretty spare. When we arrived, there were no budget rooms and we had to upgrade, so we enjoyed a giant room with high ceilings, a great bed, and minimal decoration. To give you an idea, the closet was a school locker. However, the design felt daring and industrial at the same time. The hotel has a great restaurant and one of Amsterdam's most famous clubs, so it's perfect for young people.
Staying on a boat docked in a harbor is quite an original thing to do, lets be honest. Especially if you are staying on a boat which is decked in history, like this one. The SS Rotterdam, a former local historic cruise of the 50s, is today a comfortable hotel that offers all the amenities of an establishment of this kind but it is curious that it is the way it is. At the same time, you could say that is a period museum. What I like is that this is a historic ship that has been maintained as it was, so that you can imagine walking on it 50 years ago, and think about what it was all about at that time. The truth is that I recommend it to anyone who wants an experience. To get there, it's best to go on one of the ships. There is a taxi stop right at the door and it takes you to the center in a few minutes.
This is a good property, with a good location for touring the western Netherlands. There is an indoor pool in basic facilities for relaxing after a day of travel, as well as a fridge if you want to bring your own drinks and food. The hotel allows one hour of free internet. We got a good price. It has a very large parking lot. It's just 15 km from Amsterdam, near Edam and Volendam.
This ancient, 30 year old ship has been converted into a floating, high standard apartment for rent. For a reasonable price, it offers excellent service. First, its only a ten minutes walk from the station and the center, but still very quiet. The owners are lovely people who really care about you. We went as a family in March, and this boat is out of the ordinary when visiting the "Venice of the North".
This four-star HOTEL DE BEER EUROPORT is located next to the port, in the centre of Rotterdam, in South Holland. Surrounded by 7 hectares of parks and gardens, it features 72 rooms equipped with comfort, as well as a restaurant, a terrace, a garden, an indoor pool, a fitness centre and 14 well-appointed conference rooms for events. There is Internet available throughout the hotel.
An amazing array of amenities to enjoy a wonderful stay. It has a beautiful restaurant that serves the best traditional cuisine in a casual but elegant way. The bar offers a varied range of cocktails to cool in the sun. Its rooms are spacious and are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, minibar.
A youth hostel in Amsterdam's famous red light district. The showers and toilets are in the same room. The smell was unbearable when I stayed there, and we had to sleep with the windows open because it was impossible to be inside the room. It's not cheap, either. On the plus side, there's a good bar downstairs (yes, it smells of marijuana), and a great, lively atmosphere among the travelers. The location is good in theory, right in the middle of the red light district, but after being there I probably would have gone to a quieter place. I would not recommend it.
