    Promenade City Hotel
Promenade City Hotel is located on Vaci Street, a pedestrian street in the heart of Budapest with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. It's a 3.5 star hotel so it's functional and simple, but the location itself is unbeatable and our room was comfortable. Breakfast is good and quite varied, but the breakfast room was a bit small.

    Soho Boutique Hotel
This small but beautiful hotel is situated in Pest, close to all the attractions in the city. The hotel is very nice and extremely clean with a young staff who try their best to please you - which is a reflection of the people of this beautiful country.

    Danubius Hotel Astoria City Center
This is a comfortable, historic hotel that it's ideal for exploring Budapest. It's in the city centre, just steps from the Great Synagogue and the Astoria metro station, and easily reached from the airport by public transport. It is a 4-star hotel, where every detail is well maintained, from the reception on arrival, to breakfast, the rooms, and furniture.

    Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace
The Gresham Palace is a high luxury hotel in Budapest, Hungary. Spending the night there costs upwards of 400 euros, depending on the room and the features it has. It looks like a palace in fairy tales, romantic style with arches and glass. It's considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe. It's located on the banks of the Danube, very close to Chain Bridge. I was having lunch in Pava restaurant, famous for its Italian food, and I wanted to spend the night there, but sadly the luxe-factor made that impossible.

    Hotel ibis Heroes Square Budapest
The Ibis Hotel is a good option, being good and cheap. It's very affordable - we paid 44 € for a double room, including breakfast. There's free wifi access throughout the hotel, with a decent speed. The restaurant is open 24 hours. It is very close to the metro line 1 and many highlights of this part of the city

    Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest Klotild Palace
Located in the beautiful Clotilde building, Budapest's Buddha Bar is worth a visit. We only visited the hall and bar, both full of the famous Buddhas which have given their name to the luxury hotel chain. You'll feel like you've been transported to Asia, if just for a few minutes. The perfect spot for a leisurely cocktail.

    Unity Hostel Budapest
This is a very centrally located hostel, and it's two floors. Even though it's a small hostel, it gives off a big feeling. It's clean, has free internet and breakfast, nice and friendly staff, it's closer to the Opera and the main streets in the center of the capital, next to several metro stops and about five minutes' walk from the Danube. The building looks a little decrepit, but it's ok, the hostel is clean and it's in front of the conservatory, so you'll hear music most mornings. Highly recommendable, the price per bed in each room is between 15 and 18 euros.

    Eurostars Budapest Center hotel
On our last trip to Budapest we stayed at the Hotel Eurostars Budapest Center. We also stayed at a hotel belonging to this chain in Prague in 2009. This Budapest hotel is located very close to the Danube and next to the synagogue- a must-see that we loved more and more every day. For those who prefer to travel by metro, the nearest stop is just 50 meters away. And for those with a sweet tooth, one of the best bakeries in the city can be found opposite the main entrance. We were able to enjoy two different rooms. The first was above Lajos Kossuth street and the second was above the bright conservatory and patio. Both were great since they were spacious with large bathrooms, huge beds, and were tastefully decorated but it was easy to choose one... Proper rest is guaranteed in the interior rooms since nothing disturbed us but the one that overlooks the street, cannot, despite their windows, prevent the traffic from being audible. A curious detail: we had Paco Nadal's book "Pedro Paramo does not live here," at our disposal. This book won the Eurostars Hotels-RBA prize for travel literature and recounts the personal experiences of the author during his travels through Mexico. The staff is attentive and efficient, both in reception and in the other areas. There was a complete breakfast. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit thanks to its strategic location. Definitely a very interesting option, which made our visit to this city even more interesting.

    Normafa Hotel
This is an excellent hotel - the only downside is that it's a bit out of the way (about 20 minutes by bus from the centre of the city). It's located in the countryside, ideal for lovers of walking, jogging and even cycling (bikes can be hired at the hotel). You can go to the nearby High Svábhegy and Erzsébet-kilátó (Tower of the Empress Sissi), from which you have a beautiful view over the city of Budapest. Remarkable, the 2 restaurants of the hotel have excellent menus that include the Hungarian specialties without being too expensive for a 4 star hotel. And above all, the hotel's relaxation area with outdoor thermal pool, sauna, wellness and fitness centre is great.

    Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget
The hotel is located in the park of Isla Margarita. It is connected by a passage with Margaret Island Hotel Health Spa Resort (a modern building), with which it shares facilities. It is located in the middle of the park, it's super quiet, but one thing against it is there´s only a bus that passes nearby, it´s a little far to walk, although its worth it, as the park is beautiful but its easy to depend too much on a bus or taxi.

The rooms are all well-equipped, complete with LCD TV, internet, air conditioning and bed linen. A washing machine, iron, and ironing board is available.

    Novotel Budapest Centrum hotel
This was an excellent hotel where we stayed in 2007 for 2 nights. It is located in the center on Rackczi street a couple hundred meters from the center of Budapest. It had an excellent communication in both bus and metro. We advise to leave the car in the parking lot because it had a good price. The breakfast was a buffet in an incredible dining room, very big variety and better quality. The price indicated was in 2007 for a triple room. Very recommendable.

    Marco Polo Top Hostel
I've been to Budapest twice, and stayed at this hotel both times. The first time I chose it just because it was near the train station, but I liked it so much that I went back again. A clean facility with comfortable rooms, in the centre with the underground station at your doorstep.

    Cosmo City Hotel
A small boutique hotel, with 36 comfortable rooms. It is located in a side street, and the rooms have free wifi, air conditioning, LCD TV with satellite channels, safe, minibar, and hairdryer. The room rate includes breakfast, served in the restaurant.

    Danubius Hotel Gellért
It's a beautiful building from the early twentieth century that even though has been restored, still needs some work particularly on the facade at the top where there are figures that are tied down so they don´t fall. The best thing is the free guest access to the thermal pools, gorgeous with temperatures between 26 and 45 ° C. This hotel was opened in 1918, and is decorated in Art Nouveau style, I have not stayed in it, but people I know that have been there say the rooms are quite old and in need of refurbishment, both in facilities and furnishings.

    Hotel Palazzo Zichy Budapest
During our trip to Budapest we stayed in this hotel located in the historic city center, on the Pest side. The exterior is a neo-baroque palace of the XIX Century. The interior is a very modern four-star hotel that opened its doors only two years ago. It has a quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing all day. To highlight, the friendly staff is ready to help at any time and to recommend the best sights so you make the most of your time in the city. The rooms are spacious and comfy and they serve a great breakfast buffet in the conservatory of the hotel. There is also a sauna and a gym that we did not use, and free in-room WiFi that works perfectly. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is very quiet and pleasant, with many restaurants nearby. It is close to the Kalvin ter metro station with several bus and tram connections. It is a highly recommended hotel when traveling to the Pearl of the Danube - the beautiful Budapest that has captivated me. If I ever went back, I would stay there again.

    Hilton Budapest City hotel
The Hilton Budapest WestEnd is located on the Pest side of the river, 30 minutes from Ferihegy Internatonal Airport. It offers views of the Váci út and the train station Nyugati Pályaudvar, a few minutes from other public transport. The excellent breakfast is served on the glass-fronted top floor, from which you have access to the hotel terrace. The hotel has 13 meeting rooms, considered optimal for business. You can explore the nearby attractions of the hotel, such as the St. Stephen Basilica, the Dohany Synagogue, and Parliament, among others.

    Ibis Budapest Centrum hotel
This hotel is at the beginning or Raday Utca, a street full of bars and restaurants. The street is pedestrianised, and during the summer the pavement is full of tables and chairs. At 6pm, it fills up with young people who've come for happy hour. We came here every day while we were in Budapest, visiting different restaurants. The rooms are typical of the Ibis chain: small but comfortable. Make sure that your room is non-smoking; ours still had the residual smell of smoke.

    Adina Apartment Hotel Budapest
If you look on Google Maps, you will see that it´s just beside the Danube River, which means that it has a privileged location. It is a 5 star hotel for the price of gold. The hotels in Budapest in general aren´t very expensie. With how pretty the city is, it is worth it to stay in a 5 star hotel. This one in concrete is near almost everything, you don´t even need to take a taxi.
