Despite urgently needing renovation, this classic old building is a hotel with many positive points. The location is excellent, next to Central Station, the width of the room (if you´re lucky), king size bed changed daily, free minibar which is re-filled daily, varied breakfast, friendly staff, etc.. Moreover, almost more importantly, the price is sometimes cheaper, depending on the day you reserve. If you do not care about certain deficiencies in the decoration and maintenance, I recommend this hotel.
This fantastic five-star hotel is superb for its beauty and location. It belongs to the "Leadest Hotels in the Word", where luxury and sophistication abound, and has housed kings and dukes. The casino and the theatre are within walking distance, and you can admire them from the room window. The Langgasse, the street for shopping and cafes, is also within walking distance. This is a beautiful hotel, despite being just steps from Central Station. It is an oasis of tranquility in the centre of this exciting city. It's in a secluded place with beautiful trees bedecked with flowers in spring. A palace built in 1905 houses the old wing of the hotel. Attached to this, there is also a modern part. Service is excellent, as well as all the services on offer. It's delightful to dine or have drinks in the light of the torches in the little square with the kiosk, which is on the doorstep.
The Suite Hotel is located near the U-Bahn Potsdamerplats station. Th bus that takes you directly to the district of Kreuzberg and Check Point Charlie is just beyond that. It is a quiet location but close enough to get to the city center. The Suite Hotel is in front of the Anhalter Station monument, a former train station used to deport people to concentration camps. The hotel is modern with a warm decor. It has a rooftop terrace and a parking lot for customers. The rooms are large with internet and have a kitchenette, microwave etc. If you stay more than four days you can borrow a SmartCar. A massage is also included. Rooms start at 70 euros per night so it´s a good price for the quality.
The XBerger Hostel is located in the district of Kreuzberg, not far from Oberbaum bridge and the East Side Gallery. You can get there by Line U1 U-Bahn station exiting at Schlesisches Tor, or by the bus 265. There is a 24 hour front desk, but you can't check in before half past four in the afternoon. They offer luggage storage if you want to visit the city in the meantime. Next door, there is an interesting control tower from the former border between East and West Berlin. Prices start at 11 euros per person per night in low season for a 16 person dorm, then up to 16 euros for a 3 person shared-room and 18 euros each for a double room. Furthermore, they charge a one-time fee of 2 euros for sheets and 1euro for a towel. Some dorms are female only. The wifi is free and you can also use the kitchen.
The East Side Hotel Berlin is located opposite the East Side Gallery. Over 100 artists covered the nearby wall with graffiti on the former East side, which was banned during the dictatorship. The East Side is a building without charm, and pretty basic for what you're paying. But it has a good location in the neighborhood of Friedrischain, Simon Dache Street is 10 minutes walk and has dozens of bars, restaurants and other nice places to go and especially for Sunday brunch. The rooms cost 95 euros for a double, 130 euros for a family up to four people. The place has good views of Oberbaum Bridge and the river Spree.
Budget hotel that is very convenient! Achat Hotel Stuttgart is a bit outside of the city, near the Porsche factory, which isn´t in the city, but well connected to the city by highway. To better locate it, you must indicate which is in the northern part of the city known as: Zuffenhausen. It has 104 rooms. Our room had a full bathroom with hairdryer and shower, and the the toothpaste was very small. There was also: heating, tv and phone. The advantage of this hotel is that there is plenty of off road parking totally free. In our case the room cost us 60.00 euros, having included breakfast which was served in a breakfast room, with buffet.
This is a charming, small hotel in Trier, in Mosel Valley, Germany. It offers spacious rooms, profesional and very friendly, but the best are the common areas: The restaurant has different environments and very good traditional food ... Their wine list is the best, all the wineries of Mosel-Saar-Ruwer are present and different vintages .... All wine lovers will love it. Another great thing is the relaxation: A dip in the small swimming pool and a tour of their saunas and jets will make you like new for dinner ... All included in the room rate. RECOMMENDED
After seeing the photos, words aren't necessary, but nevertheless: the Lux Eleven is a designer hotel in Mitte City, Berlin, the district that is most like the centre of the city (Berlin doesn't really have a centre), and is famous for its fashionable shops. This hotel, composed of several buildings and endless corridors in pink and white, fits in well with the surrounding area.
The room has everything - including bathrobes and two pairs of slippers - and overlooks the TV Tower (okay, so it's not the Eiffel Tower, but it's got its own character). There's a great Asian restaurant on the ground floor. The breakfast is rich and varied, especially in terms of the breads. One nice detail, which I think can be seen in the photos, is that they leave a can of pickles on the bed to welcome you. A great place to stay.
The Hilton Gendarmenmarkt is just behind the most beautiful square in Berlin, the architectural level. The square has two churches, French and German, which look like twins, symmetrical, amid the concert hall. The Hilton is behind the German church. The rooms are spacious, and come with a desk and internet. The decor is modern, overlooking the courtyard or the city. It has a spa, a 24-hour gym and a swimming pool to make your stay a moment of total relaxation. For professionals, there are 16 conference rooms that can host up to 500 people. All have technology and wireless internet. There are a total of four restaurants. On the terrace of the dome enjoy beautiful views for coffee. Then there is a different restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer typical German dishes, but also Asian and international. The room starts at 130 euros a night, including breakfast.
On a low budget trip, three friends and I went to Berlin and found at a hostel called CityStay. We were very lucky because besides being primely located, the price was incredible. It is located in the center of Berlin directly across the street from Alexander Platz and a 2 minute walk from Museum Island! When my friends and I embark on an adventure, we´re always looking for good location and a good price and this hostel was definitely the best choice. It was a building built in the late nineteenth century and was restored with single rooms or ones for up to ten people. The atmosphere was very nice. The service was really good and the staff was very friendly and happy to recommend the best places in the area and the best places to go clubbing! Breakfast was a table full of breads and cereals, cheese and ham, tea and coffee. Internet available and a quite cozy lobby which was perfect for meeting more people. There was also a small bar serving drinks at great prices and it created a perfect environment to start the evening. This place can be an excellent choice for travelers who want to visit Berlin in a more youthful way by spending less and enjoying it more!
Radisson is located on the main street of Karl Liebknecht, near the prestigious Unter den Linden. It is just five minutes from the town hall and the TV tower, in the district of Mitte. The hotel has the largest cylindrical aquarium in the world. Next door is a shopping arcade and it is quite well situated for bars and restaurants. There are 427 rooms which are all modernly decorated. The rooms cost between 160 and 200 euros per night depending on the category. The standard room has internet only, but do not include breakfast. The business room is larger, includes breakfast, movies, trouser press, high speed internet and a coffee machine.
Arcotel Hotel Rubin offers a cancellation policy whereby, if you cancel up to five days before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If you cancel later than this or in the case of no-show, the entire stay will be charged. There is no internet access. A full English breakfast is included in the room rate.
We stayed at the Barcelo hotel more for its famous name than for its location, but we found an old hotel in desperate need of a major overhaul. Yes, the rooms were very clean and the hotel could be considered upscale. From the hotel to downtown, it was a 15 minute walk maximum, while a taxi might run 10 €, depending on the taxi driver you get (they love to speed!).
Once in Munich, we stayed at the hotel Leonardo Boutique Savoy Hotel Munich, which is in the university area. The hotel's quality to price ratio is good, even though what stands out a little bit to me is that the bathrooms are very small and there's no free wifi.
It's 15 minutes walk from the center, even though you have a metro stop closer than anything called Marientsplatz.

The palace has 37 rooms that are equipped with shower/bath, hairdryer, minibar, satellite TV and Pay TV, telephone. It has smoke-free rooms. The staff is warm and friendly, and offers a personalized service to all of its guests.
The generator of Berlin is part of a group that operates a hostel in London with the same name. This lodge boasts more than 900 beds, and facilities such as the Generator Bar open until dawn, the outdoor patio and restaurant. It's about 20 minutes from downtown, but offer a walking tour route and a route for the best bars in the city, totally free.
The Ritz Carlton is a luxury hotel, in Potsdamer Square. The square is one of Berlin's trendiest neighborhoods. It is a place that once was a No Man's Land, split in two by the wall, and no one ever visited it. Now, Potsdarmerplatz is reborn with a lot of offices, restaurants and international chain hotels. The rooms are modern with flat screen TVs and very large bathrooms, and cost between 250 euros and 1000 euros for the luxury suite. The rooms are bright and colorful.

Arriving in Europe, we stayed in a hotel just 3 blocks from the central train station. As our last day in the old continent would also be in Frankfurt, it would also be the hotel where we would stay on our last day. The bad news was that because of a fair, hotels in Frankfurt increased their prices a lot. So we went a few kms away from the town centre on the road to the airport. We found this EXCELLENT option. Rooms very comfortable, good bar with better beer, very good breakfast and airport shuttle service (but note: it just takes you to Terminal 1, not Terminal 2). The center is easily reached in a matter of minutes, and even a taxi is not expensive if it's for at least 2 people.
This hotel is relatively new, since it was built in 1998. The Best Western Victors Residenz Hotel is in Gummersbach, near the centre but in a quiet area just a half hour drive from Cologne city centre, airport and exhibition center. It offers excellent facilities for meetings and conferences. It offers attentive personal service and a multilingual staff that will guarantee a pleasant stay.
The Westin Grand Hotel Berlin is situated on Friedrichstraße, at the corner of Unter den Linden. Friedrichstraße is one of the most exclusive streets of the city and ends with the Check Point Charlie (a point of interest) and the wall museum. It's a good location, but the city is so large that you can't see everything on foot from any hotel. It's a 5-star hotel with 400 newly renovated rooms, some with views of Unter den Linden and the beautiful linden trees, all rooms are very luxurious and the central hall recalls the golden age of this district before WWII. Rooms cost 150-450 euros/night, the cheaper ones are on the opposite side of Unter Den Linden. There's a gym, sauna and even an indoor pool and luxury stores are just down the street.
Near Oberwesel you will find the Dellhofen district. This town is in the Upper Rhine Valley (Germany) and was chosen as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002. It is an ideal starting point to go on excursions to the various surrounding attractions. You can explore the vineyards, the Pfalzblick, numerous castles, cloisters and churches, the Schonburg valley and the popular holiday destination of Mittelrhein. Its a cycling area, too. This hotel-restaurant has several areas including a lovely outside terrace where you can enjoy traditional Hunrucker recipes, prepared daily and accompanied with fresh, excellent wines from Middle Rhine. There is also a wine cellar, where visitors can taste the different wines and if you want to buy something too, you can. The service is very good.
Meininger is a chain of hotels located around Germany (they also have one in London). The Cologne location is located near the center of the city, about 15 minutes away by public transport, or about a 30 min walk. They have a breakfast buffet, which isn't included in the price, as well as a small bar to have a drink, and a room to play pool or watch a movie.
