We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel in Paris: it’s located in the heart of the 10th arrondissement between [poi=4370]Gare du Nord[/poi] and Gare de L’est and only about a 15-minute walk from [poi=149]Le Sacre-Cœur[/poi].
As is the case with most hotels in Paris, the exterior is quite old and shabby and does no justice to the interior. Our room was large and luminous and had a large bed and recently-refurbished bathroom…basically, everything you’d expect from a 4-star hotel.
We didn’t select the breakfast option at the hotel, but there are many shops and markets on the same street where you can pick up something to eat in the morning before a long day of tourism. All in all, it’s a more than recommendable place to stay in Paris.

The Disneyland Hotel is the hotel of Disney Princesses. Located at the entrance of the theme park, like a fairy tale castle. Totally decorated in detail and pastel colors, it is the dream of every girl to stay there. The Hotel offers an a la carte restaurant called California Grill and a buffet restaurant serving international cuisine. Disney characters greet, and can be photographed with, customers and walk around the complex, and are especially kind to children. Much better for girls, for young boys there are better choices to be made among the Disney Hotels.
The first time we stayed in Paris, it was at a little place in Montmartre which we would never have found if not for the bus which took us there from the airport. It was in the middle of a hill in a not-so-great neighborhood near Pigalle in the north of Paris.
The second time, we stayed at Banlieu, located in a rather ugly industrial area. The only upside was that there was a metro stop nearby but it was still a pain getting to the center of the city.
The last time, we were looking for a hotel close to Ópera and found this place. It’s very nice and, while a bit pricey, it’s worth it to spend a bit extra to really be able to enjoy the few days you’re spending in Paris. Otherwise, you’re sure to spend the same money on taxis!
This is the premier small hotel in the neighborhood of [poi=11155]Le Marais[/poi]. As soon as you step out onto the street, you are at the [poi=2555]Centre Pompidou[/poi] (and in two minutes at the Hotel de Ville, [poi=148]Notre Dame[/poi], etc.). The rooms are quite small but well equipped. It's a great option for a weekend break in Paris
The Ibis Paris Orly Aeroport Hotel was built in 1997. It's in the heart of the airport, with free shuttles between the terminals. Scale is ideal for business or pleasure. Book one of our 300 renovated rooms including four adapted for guests with limited mobility and make use of the services we offer, four meeting rooms, a tex mex restaurant, bar and 24 hour snacks.
Disney's Hotel Cheyenne is set in the west, it's a good hotel and there's a direct bus to the park that runs continuously and is very comfortable. Other times we've stayed in Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch. That place has cabins with everything you need and it's in the countryside, which can be a problem if you need to drive because there is no means of transportation to get to the park
We took a small map to help us find it, but it didn't prove necessary, as there are plenty of signs leading you from the train station to the hotel, so it's impossible to get lost. Its proximity to the station and the Palace of Versailles - about ten minutes walk - make it an ideal choice. As for the number of stars, I'm not really sure - one sign says 2, another 3 ... but regardless, I highly recommend it. Don't be fooled by the facade: the interior has been recently renovated, and all the rooms are totally clean. The room was just perfect - not too big, not too small, and with a super bed that I would have happily taken home with me, along with the pillows.
The bathroom has a huge shower and everything you could possibly need, without a speck of dust. There's a kettle with different types of tea and coffee, sugars, and milk. The breakfast buffet for 13 euros is great - sausages, cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, many varieties of bread, ciabatta, baguette, assorted pastries, cereal, different flavours of jam, butter, fruit salad Macedonia ... and a section serving organic products such as juices, cereals, teas, and special bread. A great way to start the day with plenty of energy! I want to also highlight the politeness and friendliness of the staff. We'd come back without a moment's hesitation! There are plenty of options for food nearby - Thai, Japanese, Indian as well as the traditional local creperies.
The Hotel Brittany is located between Paris and the Montmartre neighbourhood. It's a neighborhood called the new Athens, because there are many restaurants and shops selling Balkan products. Pigalle, with its theaters and cabarets, is nearby. This has a British sensibility, with elegant decor - precious woods, deep leather chairs, all very comfortable. The building is from the early twentieth century, and has a 24-hour reception, with the press, maps and tourist services. They speak English. The rooms cost between 150 and 200 euros per night, 15 euros more if you want breakfast in the room (12 euros down the hall). The more luxurious rooms are up to 180 euros per night. A total of 42 rooms renovated in 2005.
The Terminus Nord hotel is opposite the Gare du Nord in Paris. It is where trains bound Eurostar and Thalys to Amsterdam, London, Brussels ... If you are taking an early train, it is convenient. The neighborhood is lively, but not your typical Parisian bohemian area. It is in the African quarter, oriental, where there is nightlife in the streets, and few options for eating well. The Terminus Nord has 236 rooms, which were renovated recently. They have wifi access, and you can install an extra bed, children under 12 years stay free in the parents' room. There is a sauna, a fitness room, a hamam, steam room, jacuzzi ... They are very helpful and you can get a babysitter, hire a car or change the money. From 150 euros per night.
This hotel is on Rue Lafayette and straddles three very different Paris neighborhoods. On one side, you have the Ópera area where you can shop at the [poi=2055]Galeries Lafayette[/poi]. On the other side, you have Rue des Martyrs and its concentration of small, independent shops. Finally, you have the Grands Boulevards area where you’ll find theatres, cinemas, and some of the most beautiful covered galleries in the city.
It’s close to the lines 7 and 12 of the metro. Although the hotel is on Rue Lafayette, don’t fret because the rooms are perfectly sound-proofed. The wi-fi works well (but avoid the expensive computer in the reception) and the elevators, while a bit old, are still in fine working order. The cleanliness was fine and the staff was attentive.
The breakfast is a bit odd so, if you can, try to have breakfast at one of the nearby cafes.
The hotel is on the rue Lafayette, near 3 very different neighborhoods of Paris. For one, the Opera area where you can go shopping at Galeries Lafayette. On the other side is Rue des Martyrs with small independent shops, and finally Grands Boulevards, with cinemas, passages and most beautiful covered galleries of the city. It's a great location and very close to Le Peletier metro stop (line 7) and Notre Dame de Loreto (line 12) in the Quartier de Opèra. Although the hotel is on Lafayette Street don't panic because rooms are perfectly soundproof, the wifi was fine (the receiving computer is expensive, avoid), the lift was old but fine and the cleaning staff were proper and very attentive. Breakfast was very expensive so if you can go to a local cafe it's more economical.
Located at #24 of the beautiful Malesherbes boulevard , in the eighth district of Paris, Hyatt Madeleine is a small hotel with 86 rooms and suites. You are a five minute walk from the Place de la Madeleine, where line 14 will take you to all points of interest in the city. Next to the hotel you have the church of Saint Augustine, and the "grands magasins" department stores such as Printemps and Galeries Lafayette for shopping. Rooms have high-speed internet, flat screens and music programs. The hotel has conference centers, and also a gym to relax with massages, sauna, and even the possibility of going out with one of the managers to run in the neighboring Tuileries park. The rooms are decorated in modern style, are carpeted and have wooden furniture. The rooms cost from 350 euros pu to 1900 euros for the presidential suite!
Luxury hotel in the Opera district in Paris. Perfect if you want in a neighborhood for meeting up, the Louvre is a 20 minute walk, and department stores Printemps and Galeries Lafayette less than 10 minutes away. The opera is nearby, along with several theaters and concert halls. It is in the typical Haussmann style, the developer who renovated Paris, removing houses and narrow medieval streets to create broad avenues facilitating traffic. The rooms are decorated with an antique touch, but everything is very new. They are spacious, with flat screen TV, internet, all you need for coffee and tea. The price starts at 250 euros per night, with access to the wellness center, spa, jacuzzi and sauna. Now Accor manages it under the Sofitel brand.
The Bac Saint Germain hotel is on Rue Du Bac, the métro of the same name is next door so it's convenient to use public transport or to walk (by car is a bit more difficult). It's a 3-star hotel with a small roof terrace overlooking the roofs of Paris where you can take your breakfast. The museums and the Latin Quarter are within 20 minutes walk. The double room rate starts at 89 euros/night, up to 169 euros depending on the comfort and the season. There are TV programs in Spanish and English, Internet is included in the price as well as breakfast.
If you´re going to watch a game or a concert at the Stade de France, the Suite Hotels is the perfect place to stay as it is literally in front of the stadium. To get there, take the RER B or D from Chatelet and Gare du Nord down to the Plaine Stade de France. You can also get here directly from Charles de Gaulle. The three-star hotel has 101 suites that measure thirty square meters. Services include internet, calls to landlines, music and video on demand. In general, the suites are made for businessmen who are going to stay several days and want something more practical than a hotel room. There is a desk, a microwave and a a few other things you might need to prepare a meal, etc. There´s also a small gym and a masseuse. If you stay more than four days they offer you a Smart for up to four hours a day and a camera! The price is 135 euros per night.
This is a charming and well-located hotel in the Ópera neighborhood. It’s very small, but still clean and welcoming. I reserved a double room with two beds, a small desk area, and a mini-kitchen with a small refrigerator and microwave; in other words, the basics that you need. The bathroom was very spacious. The rooms are quiet at night and it’s located on a street where there are various bars and terraces if you want to have a drink in the evening. There are supermarkets and various other shops just around the corner. The entrance to the metro is just a minute away and you’re at major landmarks like the Eiffel Tower in less than ten minutes.
The price is more than reasonable, but I’d suggest making reservations ahead of time. The hotel staff is very kind and they make the effort to communicate with you despite the language barrier. I’d suggest sending a confirmation email two weeks in advance to explain any special requests or needs you might have.
A hotel in the center of Paris in New Athens neighborhood where there are many restaurants and shops (Turkish, Greek, etc.) and nightlife. In front on the same street there are 3 or 4 restaurants, plus Franz Liszt Square on which the hotel has a corner Corso cafe of the Costes brothers. It is a charming hotel with rooms from 100 euros/night that are big and comfortable with private bathroom, wireless internet access and satellite TV. You can have breakfast in bed if you want. The rooms on the top floor under the roof are typically Parisian with sloping ceilings.
I have only good words to describe it (both the hotel and employees). Themed as a British colony, the rooms are huge. Perhaps the bathroom is a little small compared to everything else, but not too small to have a shower. They have 24-hour reception, although there are some closing hours, but if you bring you bag after those hours, there is no problem. Some of the people who care for you speak Spanish, but if you succeed to none with the flag of Spain (pins carry identification with flags of the languages spoken each), trying with all his effort to be understood in any language, 10 them. The walk to the park is nicely done, about 10 minutes to do like 2 minutes because you're seeing things along the way. Breakfast maybe a little crowded, but there are certain times that are better (more up early). Recommendation: hotel reservation at the time if you know that restaurants want to eat. Undoubtedly repeat and recommended with Christmas decorations ... Magic!
Hotel Opera Lafayette celte belongs to the Best Western chain, and is on Maubeuge Street, next to the station. The nearest metro is line 7 Poissoniere, 200 meters away. It is a very cozy place, with 50 modernly decorated rooms that make you feel at home. They accept small pets. They offer many services: Wifi, babysitting, which is rare in Paris, Spanish speaking staff. You can even book tickets to go see a show in the theater district. The normal rate is 145 euros per night, with breakfast included, but you can get it for 120 in advance on their website.
The Villa Pantheon is a luxury hotel on Rue des Ecoles in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. It's a perfect place to visit on foot the oldest part of the city, the banks of the river and Notre Dame. The street has a few bus stops and the metro is a 5 minute walk, along with Luxembourg RER. The 59 rooms, superior and normal, cost from 120 euros/night have old décor charm, minibar, cable TV and wireless internet. Staff speak English.
