4 blocks from the Parque Berrio, and 3 from Botero Square and the Museum of Antioquia, this hostel is set a quiet, peaceful and almost magical place where people and the environment act like family. There is a kitchen, wi-fi, TV room, terrace, and it is my favorite place to go, where I can plan how to get anywhere fast and easy. Recommended for everyone!
This great hotel located in the city's Pink District close to the Lleras park offers comfort for all. It's ideal for business or family trips. The service is great and the hotel is cozy, with a fresh and very exclusive atmosphere. The price is amazing. It costs 110 per couple/night, and they offer a discount if you stay several days. This is one of the best hostels in Medellin. It has a friendly staff and is in a centric area of the city, just 20 minutes from the Plaza Botero and cathedral. It has 24-hour reception, free internet and wi-fi, dorms and private rooms, a bar set in a small Japanese garden, breakfast and even BBQ on Fridays.
The Hotel Dann Carlton is in one of the city's most exclusive residential areas not far from the financial area. It has facilities for conventions with sophisticated English architecture, as well as 185 elegant rooms with hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, voice system, mini bar, cable TV, safe, internet access, 24 hour room service and laundry service.
In August I took a trip to Medellín and heard about the Flower Fair, before leaving Ecuador I decided where to stay in Medellin. I was looking for a place near the center to allow me to go to all the boardwalks that are in the city, 61 Pardo is in the center two blocks from the cathedral and Plaza Bolivar. At first I was persuade about the location, but once in place the friendliness and hospitality of its owner made my stay more like a home than at a hotel, if you go to Medellin do not think twice and go to 61 Prado.
It was in a great location, close to the metro and a good area for going out at night. The hostel was tranquil and clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They had lots of options for recreational activities in the area. In fact, I went paragliding with The owner and I felt safe and comfortable. It was one of the best experiences I have had in Colombia! I recommend this hostel to everybody!
This is one of the newest hotels in the city. Located next to the Success supermarket, and close to the subway and nightlife, it is a colonial house offering a courtyard with hammocks, ping pong, and free coffee all day.
Kiwi House is one of the most famous hostels in Medellin, but it was closed for renovation when I visited. The reopening is scheduled for July 2009, and includes a swimming pool on the terrace of the house. It is situated in the center of Zona Rosa, where you can also find good restaurants.
I'll remember the Mi Rey Hotel like no other place. It was here where I learned to swim at the age of 6. I have been here repeatedly and it's the place where I slept the best, even looking at the ceiling of the rooms made me feel at peace with myself and the world. A 100% recommend hotel and hope to return soon.
