This beach is found on the Coromandel Pensinsula. It is a very nice beach which stands out because it is located on a geothermal area, and coincides with the tides. People like to dig holes in the sand that become spas hot temperature water.
On the Coromandel Peninsula, in the North Island, lies the beautiful Whitianga-bay of Mercury. The colors seen here cannot be found anywhere else at this country. The truth is there are a myriad of colorful areas in New Zealand, but this almost uninhabited area, to which you get to in your own car, there is no other way, offers a unequalled spectacle of colors. It was June, when winter begins there, the constant rains and sunrises on the same day made the environment constantly change color, this day we were received well. My friend Alice, from London, and I always like to get lost in this country, and be surprised by its amazing nature, unique and unmatched in the world.
Port Jackson is a unique place in the Coromandel Peninsula on the tip of the island. At one end, you think this is where human life ends and marine life begins! And there you will be alone, or with other travellers who are fascinated easily with being alone.
Matarangi is a wooded area on the Coromandel Peninsula. It's a fresh, green, rainy area with good pastures and precious trees. You have to go by car like my friend Alice from London and I did. The area is famous for its nature, which is wild, but still tranquil. A slow and quiet beauty which is only possible in these distant lands. From any area of the North Island you have go by car, but be careful because the roads are not paved and because they are always wet, they can be very slippery. The road to get here is like a dream, like all the North Island.
This is a fantastic art gallery which is located in the Hot Water Beach. The exhibits include works from the couple (who owns the gallery) and works of other artists. They have pendants, ceramic works, iron sculptures and very original objects, some collectors items like 2 Vespa Quadrophenia models.
