This place is situated near the beaches of San Andrés and is a small natural aquarium where one can see many marine species, interact with them and take some pictures. The interesting thing that is people in Colombia don´t know this place very well and you rarely see them there. This place is great because you get to meet many people of different nationalities and cultures and can also enjoy a variety of water sports like snorkeling.
Providence Island is a special world, with very peculiar people. Those born on the island use a Caribbean-style English as they main language even though the island is part of Colombia. They are people who live a very particular lifestyle, and in many cases don't leave the island for years at a time.
The first time that I went to this place I immediately loved it and I fell in love with this little island. I was on the plane and the view was spectacular, the sea is blue you can see coral sparkling in the sunlight. When I got off the plane I felt the breeze across my face and the warmth when I got to the airport was incredible. The people are calm, cheerful and very simple. The landscapes are amazing ... Try to explore this wonderful island.
It is one of the most intense experiences I've had in the sea (just counting those that can be told), interacting with dozens of stingrays that allow you to caress and hug them and frolick between your legs. The touch is soft and silky and the setting is beautiful, in a sandy islet a few hundred meters from the island of San Andres.
One of the dreams of many millions of young people in Europe is someday visiting The Caribbean. I was lucky enough to be able to do this a few years ago. I can not say enough that will make you understand what a great and beautiful trip it can be. The Caribbean Sea meets every one of our expectations and for our luxury hotel, hired from Spain. It's sun, it's unique beaches, the joy of it's inhabitants, the kindness with which you are received, everything you thought were going to have when you dream of coming ... You got it, that's why I always say: _ .. The Caribbean? .., go when you want it is everything you imagine.
Santa Catalina Island is connected to Providencia by a floating wooden bridge that is 100 meters long and only for pedestrians, meaning that there are no vehicles on the island. It has many mangroves and for a long time the islands were controlled by the British, in fact, it has been assumed that the island was the headquarters of the pirate Morgan, and therein lies the Cueva de Morgan, Morgan Beach , Morgan Hill, etc.
Just 1 hour by speedboat from San Andrés, Cayo Bolivar is a small paradise. It is an island of 100 meters long and 40 wide, whose only inhabitants are those of the Colombian army, a detachment of 12 soldiers, with nearly perfectly clear coral arrefices with incredible visibility.
The galleon Morgan is an old pirate galleon converted to relive the adventures of pirate Morgan in these islands. It usually does two tours, one during the day, along the coast of San Andres, and one at night, starting at 20h30, which has as its main objective the party as two hours a lively band with dancing pirates, going from from reggae to reggaeton, to salsa, vallenato, cumbia and all Latin rhythms you can imagine. As on any good pirate ship, the rum runs freely.

My visit to San Andres was one of the best experiences I've ever had, especially the night we went to Extasis Disco. My friends and I didn't stop dancing to varied Latin music the whole night. By the way, I met Diego who also has a bar and does watercraft rentals and is in charge of the club and is a very good host. I hope to visit Peru again soon, and please contact me. I await your email. Kisses, Cinthya.
