Statue of Frederick the Great
(5)
This impressive statue, in the middle of Unter den Linden, is one of Berlin's most famous landmarks. Made of bronze it rises more than 5 meters above ground level, was designed in the nineteenth by CD Rauch and shows the famous Federico II on horseback, with the actual uniform and coat. The king is surrounded by statues of famous military leaders, politicians, artists and scientists, and the top tier in relief shows the king's life. During the time of communist Germany this monument wasn't in keeping with anti-monarchist ideology so it was moved to a park in Potsdam (on the western side of Berlin). There it remained until the fall of the Wall and its return to Unter den Linden was very symbolic.

Legoland Discovery Centre

Berlin has a treat for children and nostalgic for lego lovers in general: A center dedicated to Lego with great works done with these pieces of eight skewers and three holes. I never managed to build simple parts like a wall or a cube, so admired great creations like this amazing giraffe door to Legoland. The giraffe is so happy to see tourists. They are afraid. Some, have been stripped several times of their tail and other parts of their anatomy. Who knew the old Berlin, a piece of wall, the memory of the city would become a few pieces of this business.

Schiller Statue
(1)
Gendarmenmarkt square is one of the most beautiful in Berlin. It has two churches, one French and one German, and in the center is the beautiful statue of the poet Schiller. Johann Christoph von Schiller was a poet and philosopher, author of several German plays. He was born in the mid-eighteenth century, and wrote many works which are now classics of German literature. In this statue, he is represented as a Roman or Greek antiquity, with a toga and a laurel wreath on his head and his writings under his arm. The statue is placed in the center of the square, in front of the Konzerthaus, former National City theater. Around the poet are four statues of women.
