The Médiathèque Jacques-Demy on Quai de la Fosse is a great place for book lovers. It's a library, but it also holds reading workshops, book signings, exhibitions, and more. I particularly liked the newspaper area with the impressive archives.
Mid-century functional architecture, the Maison Raideuse of Rezé was established as a living space for up to 1,400 people in a colorful building, full of light. A peculiar mixture of concrete gray and the color images of the terraces and windows - it reinforces the modern image of Nantes. This square building has special architectural charm and you can't stop looking at its striking figure that contrasts with the other facades. Its symmetrical and functional beauty shock many but it's a landmark building of the twentieth century converted into civil accommodation. Nantes is very close so don't miss the opportunity to visit.
