It was a rewarding experience in every way, I am amazed at the creativity in preparing the dishes, the care with which they serve and explain the composition of the dishes being served. The wines selected for the tasting menú were not to my taste, but this posed no problem when indulging in their great cuisine.
We arrived at this restaurant on the rebound, since the one we had booked told us that the menus were gone: (. So we tried "La Poma" and it was a success. The place is small, but very nice and cozy. The service is excellent, despite the wait. Trouble was we came on the ady of some festival and everything was chock-a-block. But the service was good. The menu is very interesting and has a fair price. Salads are outstanding and there's a very good wine list. We liked the place and we had fun. When in Girona again, I will return.
The Lechazo Meat and skewers can never be forgotten... this is a bar and restaurant in Girona, and everyone ve tries it goes back for more!!!. Excellent also is its great selection of tapas and other dishes. A delightful hotel. The Bar Restaurant Village is located in the Old Town of Girona, well situated, with some fantastic views, tranquility around, you can walk, enjoy a nice sunny day and then a good service at The Bar Restaurant Village. The Bar Restaurant Village was completely renovated in January of 2012. Family treatment. It specializes in the Lechazo Skewers and Grilled Meat. But it also offers different combinations of meals, pizzas, great assortment of Snacks, in short, seafood, Catalan and Mediterranean.
This is a restaurant conveniently located in the old town of Girona, near the cathedral in the Jewish Quarter. We had lovely baked fideua here, and a dessert of orange cake with chocolate that was also delicious. The decor and cleanliness is very good, and the owner is helpful and welcoming. Recommended!
In the historic center of Girona, we were searching for somewhere to eat after visiting the Cathedral, when we found the lovely terrace of this restaurant. For some reason, we were struck with it so we stayed. Overlooking the historic area, it had a daily menu of local produce but with very original dishes. The cuisine was mainly modern fusion. In addition, the young waiters were vibrant and fun and really entertained us. I'd definitely recommend it.
Located next to the bingo. Good spot to eat ribs, suckling pig, potatoes with egg and sausage, eat a lot and well, you won't get tired of looking at their photos of famous people, good service, tasting menus, no waste.
The Rocambolec is owned by the Roca brothers, who also own the Can Roca restaurant, and is a mandatory stop in the city of Girona. Their ice cream is delicious - not just because they're craftsmen, but because they have different flavours, like roasted green apple or chocolate brownie. Despite the quality, the prices aren't expensive, and the flavours are delicious. Very nicely decorated and worth a visit.
Very good service in a friendly atmosphere. A good place to go for both couples and families, with great value for money. We randomly picked it, and it was probably the best place that we ate at during our weekend in Girona. The snails are tremendous, the best I've ever eaten. 100% recommended.
The Viena Girona is located in the neighborhood of Salt, on the outskirts of Girona. It is a fast food restaurant. The menu consists mainly of sandwiches, salads, etc. It's a good place to eat something quick and far more natural and healthy than other fast food restaurants. The sandwiches stand out from those that you get in other places, with pretty good flavors and combinations. The atmosphere is nice and the décor is much more cozy and welcoming than other fast food places.
This restaurant in Girona has a large terrace with a grill in full-view of the customer. They offer meat of the highest quality. You can eat grilled vegetables, snails, salads, esqueixada, roasted vegetables, assorted pates, cheeses and cold cuts. On the terrace you can enjoy a barbecue, grilled meat or a steak on a countertop grill.
Lately it has become fashionable for restaurants to offer small plates to share. Nu restaurant is the little brother of the restaurant Massana, located on Bonastruc Street in Girona, driven by the superb Michelin starred chef Pere Massana . Nu offers a modern cuisine with roots between East and West. What is so interesting? Watching as they prepare the fish and the maceration in front of you as if it were a show. Try the tomato chocolate with basil oil, cod and steak tartare. Great wine list .... between white, black and pink always there to choose from. Price about 35 € / head. Bon appetit!
Quality, well-made food. On weekdays they offer a lunch menu, and there's also an evening and weekend menu. It specialises in pizzas, but the rest of the dishes are also well-prepared. The location is good, about a 10 minute walk from the center of Girona.
El Cul del Món is a fabulous restaurant specializing in Moroccan cuisine located near Girona Cathedral in an area full of trees, bridges and streams. The owners are very friendly, and the cuisine will take you on a journey through place and time. Everything seems to come to a standstill when you're enjoying this delicious food.
For lovers of Japanese food on a tight budget, Restaurant Tokio is the best option for you in Girona. With friendly service, good quality and good prices, it's ideal. Not in the center, but it's not too difficult to find. They have a menu at lunchtime for €10.85 including dessert and drink, and other more expensive options available.
Next to Girona's Eiffel Bridge, you'll find a small shop called Madonna. Madonna is a chain that serves donuts of all sizes and colors, many clearly influenced by the Simpsons! They also have delicious ice cream when it's hot out. There are other branches in downtown Figueres.
After a morning exploring downtown Girona, a city that we had never been to before, and falling in love with its Jewish quarter, we started to feel a bit hungry, and went looking for somewhere to eat. It was a little late, but we wanted a central place with reasonably priced menus. From the outside, we liked the look of this restaurant. Inside, we were almost overwhelmed by its sheer size! The price wasn't bad, and the portions were generous. We had some delicious steaks, and the service was very attentive and quick. The nightlife in the surrounding area is great, so you might want to come here for dinner. I wanted to have a drink in the evening on the atmospheric terrace. To conclude, if you're looking for good traditional Catalan food, this is a good choice.
I like to go here for its special atmosphere, and its great location on the banks of the River Onyar, Girona. Breakfast at this cafe is a good way to start the day. The picture shows morning opening, around 7am.
