We were on the terrace, and although we were expecting a beautiful view (because of the name), there was nothing special. The food was decent but the portions weren't big enough, and there weren't many options for desserts ... I wouldn't recommend it.
The biggest attraction is the culinary festival, which takes place on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. Book well in advance, as it has become a major tourist attraction of the island. There are nearly 40 dishes arranged as a buffet, ranging from meat to Japanese food. It's not cheap, but no restaurants on the island are; virtually everything has to be brought from the mainland by boat. But the price includes dessert, and the restaurant is open other days as well. The menu is varied, with everything from crepes to sandwiches to fish. Credit cards are accepted.
Named after an aquatic bird, this is the place to eat brasilian food on the island. it's next to the harbor and is open from breakfast to dinner. The atmosphere is nice, perfect for enjoying the beautiful scenery and very good service - the waitress was friendly and helped us choose the dishes with the freshest ingredients, so they had better taste. I had tuna Tartar seasoned with olive oil, white pepper and fresh herbs, with mango cubes seasoned with sesame. DIVINE!
Food, entertainment and art is what O Pico has to offer. Its a restaurant, bar, clothing and craft shop (for the islands and elsewhere on the continent), art gallery, and some nights, it becomes a cinema. In addition to buying gifts for friends, I tried the soup of the day which was a shrimp soup that was unpretentious and delicious. I recommend it!
This restaurant in the Vila dos Remedios, more specifically on the beach Flamboyant, is perfect for those who want to eat well and save money, as prices on the island are high. Food is delicious, I recommend the Risotto, and even a single dish, can be shared..
A cool restaurant with a sophisticated look, right in the centre of the island. Really good decor, very welcoming. I had the breaded shrimp with coconut rice, served with creamy pumpkin - delicious! A great option for dinner on the island.
