Away From the Noise

The San Pedro cove is one of the few redoubts hippies left in Spain. Many people, not only hippies, camp there for an indeterminate period of time.

The beach has crystalline water, surrounded by a small mountain 45 minutes away walking from the road. The water allows you to dive and see a great quantity of fish and plants and you can canoe and do other sports as well. In the cove there are only two bars, one in the shore and the other in a castle in ruins. The menu is very limited but it allows you to survive the heat and thirst.

It is a calm place that allows you to forget the noise and busy life. You can feel like a free person without worries for a few days.

Cool Atmosphere

Impressive cove with amazing beauty. Like everything it has its pros and cons, but it is an impressive place: great atmosphere and nature, everything.

The access is easy. A negative point is that you can’t purchase ice on the beach, but overall it’s great. In august it’s really crowded, but it has a cool atmosphere, even though the nudist atmosphere is quite reduced. It is better to go in low season. The boats are a great business, the charge you 12 Euros, but it is worth it! =)

A Beautiful Perspective

To get there you have to walk various kilometers from Las Negras. It is a beautiful cove and natural port where you can see the remains of the San Pedro Castle, from the Nasrid dynasty, and it has a few elements from the 16th century as well.

There is a “natural” camping, so you must leave your scruples behind. You can also observe a dovecot of circular construction and that offeres a beautiful perspective from the beach. Behind the castle there is a spring that gives extraordinary water.

Friendly Atmosphere

San Pedro is one of the most emblematic coves inside the natural park Cabo de Gata, Níjar. It has atypical characteristics. It has a spring of water; you can camp there without any problems. The atmosphere is friendly, all kinds of people, nudists, hippies, but everybody minds their own business, but don’t even think of leaving your trash behind!

It has a clay cave, which allows you to take baths with clay. The bottom of the sea is spectacular, great for diving. It takes you an hour to get there, but don’t do it at noon, it is very tough. You can go by boat from Las Negras. It also has
