The Marconfort Griego Hotel is a three star hotel in the center of Torremolinos, a town between the cities of Malaga and Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol. The hotel is located a few steps from the center and 15 minutes from Playa Bajoncillo, one of the most famous beaches in Torremolinos. It has 414 recently-renovated rooms with contemporary, comfortable decor. The hotel offers all-inclusive service with a variety of hotel amenities including buffet restaurant, bar, cafeteria, snack bar, piano bar and a large sun terrace with a swimming pool, large lounges, meeting rooms, TV room, games room, souvenir shop and a library with books in different languages for relaxing moments.
As I came from the Malaga train station in a taxi, the driver was telling me that I was going to be staying in one of the best hotels in the Costa del Sol. A 5 minute walk from Puerto Marina, oceanfront hotel service first, an original design, bold and modern. The rooms are complete with nice small details, there is a SPA, a buffet with show cooking and first Andalusian products (adobitos, cuttlefish, fried calamari, anchovies) and a series of terraces to unwind and forget about the problems while facing the sea, either from a lounger, pool or directly on the sand. From the best options for the Costa del Sol
We stayed at Los Alamos Hotel for the second time this year. Last year it was very good, but unfortunately the food quality has dropped a lot. Nowadays it's a bit of a disaster, in need of renovations, and the service was bad. The pool at least is good if you go with the kids, but be warned that they'll be eating nothing but chips.
The service here is great, and the housekeeping is excellent. The daily buffet breakfast is very good, like the dinner. Downside is that the buffet is over at noon and only offers a menu that could be improved, inexplicably claim that there are not enough customers, when the truth is that fill the restaurant La Proa with clients in half or full board.
Torremolinos surprised me. The excellent climate and generally relaxed atmosphere was great, and the pool, restaurant service and spacious rooms at Apartamentos Bajondillo made for a fantastic stay. The unpretentious, European ambiance, relaxing waterfront and the marina with bars, shops and restaurants were fabulous. If I return to Torremolinos, I'll come back to this hotel.
I'll begin by saying that we checked into the Sol Principe at 14:30 and had to wait half an hour because the room wasn't ready. The rooms look bad...they're very small (it's almost impossible to walk around the room without bumping into the bed), the mattresses were of poor quality, and the TV was positively ancient. The phone didn't work between rooms and it's impossible to sleep with the air conditioning running because of the noise it makes. There's not much variety on the restaurant menu (a lot of pasta, rice, frozen pizza and burgers). The staff do what they can, but it's just plain bad. The wifi costs 20 euros for one week.
The pools are good, but the ground around them is very slippery and dangerous. If you go, then at least save yourself a bad experience and just choose the breakfast buffet. We had booked dinner here for 12 days, and it was horrible.
This is a Hotel chain owned by Summa. It is a very good hotel and offers a great buffet, though it is difficult to find parking. It is about 5 min from the beach coming out the back of the hotel, the beach is no big deal and very small, but it makes the area nice for walking.
Ideal for families, this hotel has rooms divided in two, offering privacy to parents travelling with their children. Just 150m from Playamar Beach, it's surrounded by bars, markets and pharmacies. The hotel isn't the newest, and it shows in the furniture, but it's still very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are great! They'll really do everything they can to make your stay special. We went with the "all inclusive", and meal times are very flexible. The kids loved the entertainment on offer. In short, a great place for a family holiday!
I had a great experience at Sol Don Marco that I'd love to repeat. Good dinner, great facilities, and everything was very stylish. It was a romantic, perfect place to spend the holidays. I recommend it!
My home was undergoing renovations, so I had to find a place to rent close to where I live, and a friend recommended these apartments. We spent the month of June here, and it was very comfortable. The location is great, just 200 metres from Carihuela Beach (a lovely spot, with high quality sand and water). Then there is the promenade which connects the area of Guadalmar to the Benalmadena marina, where you'll find plenty of seafood restaurants. The apartment was very spacious compared to others that I've visited: there were two bedrooms with sea views (7th floor), and looked to have been recently renovated, as everything was very new. There's also a fairly large pool which my daughter loved. If you're in the area and need a comfortable place to sleep, I recommend it.
The Zen Hotel is located in an exclusive and quiet residential area of the beautiful town of Torremolinos Once here you can enjoy the peace and calm. It is an ideal place to visit with family. The hotel has 31 fully equipped rooms with simple decor but modern and cozy. Inside the hotel you can enjoy both the pool and the restaurant.
Roc Lago Rojo is located in Torremolinos, close to La Carihuela Beach and only meters from the city. It is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. 114 junior suites are available, each one with a bathroom, safe, telephone and television.
The overall value of Parasol Garden is good, but be aware that the food isn't great and could really use improvement. In particular, the times for meals are quite strict, and it's not fun to always feel that you need to rush to get back to the hotel in time to eat when you should be enjoying your holiday.
I stayed at this hotel during Christmas 2011. It is situated right in the center with the shopping street below the hotel. To go down to the beach you have two choices, walk down or take the elevator in front of you fore 50 cents. The hotel is large and comfortable. The rooms are large and the food is very good. The hotel is very typical for foreigners, but the waiters are nice. Good hotel for the season that is not only for the beach.
For relaxing, this is the best place. It is an elegant, Mediterranean style spa where the sea is the main character. It is located on the beach promenade in the Carihuela, in the quiet residential area of Montemar and a few minutes walk from the Marina of Benalmadena. It has a Very relaxed and mellow atmosphere.
The Marconfort Beach Club Hotel has a prime beachfront location on Playa del Lido Beach, between Poplar and Bajondillo beaches in Torremolinos. The area around the hotel is famous for its large number of bars specialising in the local fried fish, so the location makes it the perfect choice to spend your holiday in Torremolinos. It is 2.5 km from the center of Torremolinos, 2 km from the golf course "Parador de Malaga", 4 km from the airport, 9 km from Málaga and 40 km from Marbella.
The hotel comprises a total of 260 rooms with a stunning sea side panorama restaurant on the main floor overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, playgrounds, Internet corner (with charge), indoor area for shows, bars, mini-golf, heated pool (seasonal) and outdoor pools, playground, gym, kids club (in summer), free outdoor parking, free wifi in public areas ... you're sure to enjoy every second of your stay here!
A four star hotel, but to be honest, it doesn't even deserve three. The food is low-quality, and lacking in variety, both at breakfast and dinner. The wifi is free, but doesn't work well. The furniture looks like it was bought at a market.
The La Barrucada is located on the beach in the Montemar area of Torremolinos - Benalmadena, between the Marina and 300 meters from La Carihuela, the gastronomic heart of the Costa del Sol for you to enjoy during your stay . The hotel has a total of 234 fully equipped rooms. It has a lobby with three elevators, 24 hour reception, safes for guests to use, and a cafe. There are also additional facilities including a bar, a pub, a TV room and air-conditioned buffet restaurant with non-smoking area. There is even a great outdoor pool on the roof.
The Medina Azahara Hotel in Torremolinos consists of two sections: Califa I and Califa II. It has everything: terrace, buffet restaurant, swimming pool, coffee shop, entertainment...even rental cars. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the rooms are nice and spacious with comfortable beds, big bathrooms, TV's and balconies. The restaurant is OK.
La Luna Blanca is a welcoming hotel in Torremolinos with a small number of rooms. The decor is Japanese and there's a pool and two gardens (one grass and other stone) and exquisite food featuring traditional Japanese products. There's a private garage for customers which gives you more security. The rooms are very spacious and have terraces full of flowers. On the roof there's an exclusive jacuzzi. But best of all is the friendly, excellent service and customer care from the staff.
Less than 50 meters from the Playa Miguel Beach Club, the Carihuela or the promenade is the Hotel Residencia Miami. It is a historical farm filled with tradition, and you will feel right at home, and need nothing. The staff is very attentive and services offered by the hotel are very complete. It has Wi-Fi and free parking. It is Only 7 miles from the airport so it is easily accessible both for those who want to walk around and for those who drive. It has a large pool and lovely gardens. It has a sunbathing terrace and a lounge with fireplace for cooler seasons. In the hotel's restaurant, you will taste delicious and varied breakfast served in the garden which is nice for enjoying the outdoors.
