I visited Niagara Falls on my honeymoon, and although there's an expression that says ... when you go to Niagara boyfriends stop making eye contact to behold the spectacular falls ... for me dinner in the Skylon Tower revolving restaurant was one of the experiences that has stuck deep inside. You sit at a window table and before long you can see the falls illuminated in different colors and only those who have been lucky enough to see a show like this understand. This view of the falls lit up at night is a must if you visit Niaraga and although the price is not very cheap it is certainly worth doing. The Skylon restaurant is definitely a very good option, I do not know if there are other places to view the falls at night. To visit the falls and not see them lit night is a sin you should not commit. Ahhh and all the food is excellent.

Strategically located next to Dundas Square, this was the numpteenth hotel that we stayed at during our trip to Canada. It looked inviting, perhaps even too much, since the room was a bit small and had a rather cramped the feeling. The bathroom was clean, well equipped with towels and bathing products. There was also a satellite TV. The room was not particularly soundproof and, whilst it wasn´t really a problem during the day, the central location was a problem at night because of the uproar you could hear on the street. The air conditioning apparatus, located right next to the bed, was somewhat noisy. Very attentive staff, lots of information available for the client, breakfast very good despite being an organized tour. Room access card which you also had to use in the elevator, too, starting at 10 pm. The best thing about this place is the location, which allowed us to get a taxi and walk to a lot of places in the center, and the area seemed very safe, but the truth is that in Canada I never felt unsafe.

I stayed here the first time I was in Toronto, and it was perfect for my visit, close to plenty of attractions, restaurants and places to visit and see. The rooms are comfortable, with a coffee maker, fridge, cable TV, nice amenities, air conditioning and heating, and a 24-hour business centre. On the top floor there's a gym, sauna, and hot tub that can be used by all the guests. Reserve the restaurant at least one day in advance, as it's very popular.
I’d say this hostel is average for the price you pay. The location is great, within walking distance to sights, restaurants, and public transit. The staff members here are also friendly, and it’s an easy environment in which to meet people. However, I do think cleanliness in the bathrooms could be improved. Additionally, there are only two washers and two dryers, which can cause a competition to see who gets to the machines first. (It’s really not fun to have to compete to wash your clothes first.) The mattresses are also make loud squishy sounds, so light sleepers beware! I wouldn't necessarily choose to bunk here again, but it’s not the worst in the world. If you’re not particular about accommodations, this place is fine.

We ended up in this place because we messed up and did the reservation on internet and when we arrived there were not any spaces. We were lucky! Right next to the hostel and belonging to the same owners who also rented an apartment. It does not stand for anything specifically: Bunk beds in shared rooms, lack of care and maintenance in general, the floor is great. There were 5 of us and I think the apartment price was $ 150 Canadian per night, about 100 euros, so we finally came out almost the same price as the hostel but a lot better of a place. The apartment has a kitchen, a big living room with double sofa bed, a single room with small bed and trundle and a big room with a double sofa bed and two single beds. It can hold a total capacity of 8 people if the tenants do not mind sharing rooms. The bathroom has a shower and is very good though small. Moreover, the situation in the city is relatively good and can easily walk to many places. A great solution if you are in group Ottawa.

On my second visit to Toronto I preferred to change hostel because the former was a little far from the center and had no atmosphere, so I went to Clarence Park, a quiet and pretty place because it was better rated. The problem was that I arrived at 22:30, and although when booking nothing was specifically indicated, the reception closes at 10pm, and even though I had paid for the reservation they wouldn't let me in. It was raining heavily, and the Italian night porter must have felt sorry for me because he let me in but I was not given a room key, so I could not go out for dinner. What I saw of the hostel was fine, with a large kitchen, a living room with large TV, free wifi, and very friendly with backpackers from around the world, and the bedrooms were not bad. In the bottom of the Victorian house where they are located they have opened a very nice French-style cafe with good croissants and coffee, but quite expensive.
